UPDATE AS OF 18th DEC 2021
As of the update date above, the Covid Omicron variant is not directly affecting our firm, other than some staff working from home.
However, we are not able to say how other solicitor firms, search providers, mortgage lenders, surveyors and others involved in the house buying / selling process are affected, and there is the potential for disruption and delays which are outside of our direct control.
Given the general uncertainty at this time, we ask that exchange and completion dates are not discussed or agreed until legal advisors to all parties in a transaction (or chain as the case may be) have confirmed that they are ready to do so.
Whilst we know that the completion date is of prime importance, the premature discussion of dates is counterproductive and ultimately causes further delay and disappointment.
