Looking to join a family run firm that specialises in Residential Conveyancing?
Due to our continued success & expansion, we have a permanent role available to join an existing team of three people, based in Gateshead.
The role is full time with flexible working options and if you are interested in either applying or just learning more about the role, then we can arrange an informal and confidential chat.
As a modern, professional Conveyancing firm, our aim is to put a smile on the face of our clients, Estate Agent and Mortgage Brokers by providing a friendly and efficient service.
We are neither an ‘old school’ firm nor a target obsessed ‘conveyancing factory’ where each Conveyancer must hit individual objectives, and our measure of success is ensuring staff are happy in their roles with a sense of pride and achievement on completion day - and this in turn leads to happy clients and agents who come back to us time after time.
HOW WE WORK
Our guiding principle is to make it as easy as possible for you to do your Conveyancing job with clear communication at each stage of the Conveyancing process, and we achieve this through a combination of:
- Investment in technology using the UK’s foremost quote generation and case management system. This easy to use system dramatically reduces the level of administration and automatically communicates the right information at the right time to all parties, so reducing the number of calls into the office that in turn creates time to do the real conveyancing work
- Highly effective and fit for purpose client forms and streamlined office processes
- Avoiding the provision of ‘cheap Conveyancing’, which means we are able to manage the volume of your caseload to one that is well balanced and achievable
The combination of these approaches all help with the important ‘people management and communication’ aspects of our role, freeing up time to get into the more interesting aspects of the legal Conveyancing side as well as providing a greater level of confidence in being able to manage your caseload effectively, resulting in less stress at the same time as being more able to provide a friendly, helpful and efficient service.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
We appreciate that the role of ‘residential conveyancing fee earner’ can cover a wide range of knowledge and skills and we welcome applications from various backgrounds including:
(a) Licensed Conveyancers
(b) Conveyancing Solicitors
(c) Chartered Legal Executives
(d) Non-qualified fee earners who have Conveyancing experience
(e) Paralegals who have worked within a Conveyancing environment
In terms of experience, I’m sure you’ll agree that none of us will ever know everything about Conveyancing, and so we’re not expecting you to be the font of all knowledge - what we’re really interested in is a desire for continuous learning and doing the best we can for our clients.
What we’re not expecting is for you to bring your own clients through your existing contacts, as we have multiple streams of instructions from various sources. We are also aware that ‘drumming up business’ is not everyone’s cup of tea and we do not expect this from you, unless you’d like to of course, as part of your career development.

HOLIDAYS AND HOLIDAY COVER
Along with a holiday allowance of 33 days (including 8 bank holidays) with up to 5 extra days for long service, we also ensure caseloads are shared during your holiday period, with emails answered and files progressed to help provide peace of mind when you’re away, and minimise the first week back overload (we’ve all been there!).
We’re based in Team Valley, Gateshead, which is easily accessible by public transport and the building has a large car park in a safe, well-lit public area, along with excellent café facilities on the doorstep.
