HOUSE BUYING & SELLING TIMESCALES
As you may be aware, the number of properties that are marketed by Estate Agents increases significantly during Spring and Summer months, with a corresponding increase in workloads for associated firms such as Conveyancing Solicitors, Mortgage Lenders, Search providers, Surveyors etc.
This unfortunately and inevitably introduces delays into house ‘buying and selling system’ that is further compounded by staff in multiple firms taking annual holidays, especially where house chains are present.
As you can imagine, the whole system slows down across this part of the year and it is very difficult to predict an accurate timescale (due to the high number of variables), however, we have found though experience that it is best to provide clients with a realistic explanation of the delays that can be expected (that are outside of our control) due to the high increase in house sale and purchases during this period, and we will continue to make every possible effort to provide a speedy service and communicate with you throughout the process.
